The chaplain training program has been designed so that both entry-level ministers and experienced ministers can start expanding their training and influence at any time. The first step is for the chaplain candidate to fill out the online application. Once this online application is sent in and evaluated the second half of the application process begins.
After the chaplain candidate has successfully went through the application process they are given a detailed breakdown of what training they need to complete. The time frame needed for this stage of training varies depending on the candidate’s previous training, degrees and experience. Working together, a goal is set so that the new candidate can attend the onsite intensive.
Onsite intensives are limited to a small number of participants to ensure quality training. Remember this is not a classroom lecture. The chaplain will experience Jesus and new ways of ministering not just read about them. Because of the size limitation the onsite intensives are schedule as needed throughout the year.
The chaplain training program is very flexible in regards to when a candidate starts, but it is not open ended. Time limits for completing each phase of training are discussed after the application process is completed.
