3D Certified Chaplain Training
The 3D Character Chaplain program has been designed by the National Conservative Christian Church to help ministers be more effective at reaching into the community in non-traditional ways. National statistics and trends make it clear that church attendance is declining rapidly. However, Christianity is not declining. People are still in need of the gospel and are receiving new lives in Jesus every day. What is changing is the method of delivery and how we incorporate Jesus into daily life.
3D Character Chaplain’s are in essence special agents who have been trained at meeting practical needs and developing relationships. It is this non-traditional approach, which gives them the credibility needed to speak into people’s lives. It is also this approach that requires specialized and intensive training.
The training methods that we have chosen to equip chaplains include traditional study techniques that can be done through distance education. However, this is where we begin, not where we stop. We have chosen to include onsite intensives, which are not focused on regurgitating material read in a book, but on the application and experience of successful principles.
The onsite intensive is an experience that includes real ministry, interaction, role-playing and objective patterning, as well as live Q & A. This ensures that chaplains are not only educated but also equipped for this non-traditional ministry.
Following the onsite intensive is a supervised internship requirement. The internship is fulfilled by the chaplain in their community and is the beginning of their local ministry. The supervision is an extension of the onsite intensive that requires reporting and interaction.
Our system of training allows for new chaplains to be trained in everything needed for this new exciting ministry.

3D Certified Chaplain Training Breakdown
Chaplain Prerequisites
- Ministerial Credentials through the National Conservative Christian Church
- Membership in either the Sarasota Academy of Christian Counseling or the National Christian Counselors Association. (If you do not have membership in either of these organizations contact us directly to discuss the options.)
Chaplain Training Part 1
- 3D Chaplaincy Part 1 course of study. This course is designed to give a foundation for ministering to spirit, soul and body. This course must be successfully completed before the onsite intensive
Chaplain Onsite Intensive # 1
- The onsite intensive is 55 hours of interactive training and experience. This experience will go far beyond a classroom lecture. It is a living experience much like Jesus and the disciples modeled. Participants arrive Sunday afternoon and the intensive is concluded at noon Saturday.
Chaplain Internship
- After completing the onsite intensive the chaplain will begin their internship in their community. Ongoing coaching, reporting and supervision is part of the internship.
Chaplain Training Part 2
- 3D Chaplaincy Part 2 course of study. This course expands on the initial training. It consists of distance education material and is completed by a series of webinars.
Close support and teamwork from the home office provides uniformity of application and professional standards nationwide. Working together we can create a proficient, highly ethical and effective chaplaincy program in any community.
